'Dirty' Star Dies at age 57

As most of you know by now, our beloved Patrick Swayze died earlier this evening. "Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," said a statement released this evening by his publicist Annett Wolf. We first gained wind of Swayze's illness in Janurary 2008, in an interview with ABC Swayze said that it "seemed likely" that he would live for two more years. Over his lifetime he won three Golden Globes, an MTV Movie Award, and did a great deal for multiple charities. Swayze's legacy will be forever remembered. August 18, 1952 – September 14, 2009
