Party In The Pissed Off USA

This is something I wanted to call attention to that I haven't seen on any other celebrity gossip sites. The other day I was busy browsing Walmart's crowded isles and came across Miley Cyrus' new album "The Time of Our Lives" and decided to buy it. I thought what the hell, I do enjoy her other music, I guess you can call it a 'guilty pleasure', we all have them. I made my purchase of a Miley Cyrus CD and chapstick, all while feeling like a 12 year old girl. As I got into my car I figured I'll listen to the CD, before I get home, put it on my Ipod and never touch it again. All the songs were typical Miley music, typical pop-style music, and that's why I adore it, it makes you feel young again. As I was listening to the song "Talk Is Cheap" I noticed something that caught me completely off guard, Miley swears! Now you may be thinking to yourself, so what, who cares? Well I guess I do. The lyrics are, "Still don't know where you are/ I'm so pissed off/ Always hanging around", while this might not be the end of the world I still consider it to be somewhat of a big deal. I am 19 years old, I can handle it, but I can't help but to think of my innocent 11 year old cousin who is listening to this, singing along. It just seems children are losing their innocence earlier and earlier now of days. Towards the end of the song she says wishes her boyfriend would choke on his cigarette. Now c'mon, Miley is 16 years old. The line is "I don't care if you choke/ When you light up your smoke/ It's the one that I can call my own." Maybe I am making a big deal out of nothing, but I still felt like something needed said about it. Check out the song below and tell me what you think.
